My Story So Far

Have you ever experienced learning that feels way more complicated than it needs to be: vague, dry, or simply unnecessary?

Me too! That’s why I love designing (and developing) learning that’s meaningful, practical, and feels as good as it looks.

As an ISTJ, clarity and structure are my cup of tea. I’m detail-driven and perseverant, and while the learning design isn’t always a smooth process, I find genuine satisfaction in seeing it through to the bitter end. Sometimes plan C even turns out better than plan A!

I’m a meticulous problem solver. In the analysis phase, I thrive on digging to the root of a challenge and breaking it down into manageable, ‘bite-sized’ chunks. I believe knowing your learner inside out is crucial. It’s how I simplify complex ideas and make the small details matter just as much as the big picture.

My ‘just get it done’ mentality means I’m skilled at juggling tasks, prioritising, and meeting deadlines. I rely on organisation to keep things moving, but it’s my adaptability that helps me find the right detour (even if it turns out to be plan C)!

What I Bring to the Table

Experience

With over 15 years in education, I’ve honed the ability to simplify, structure and communicate effectively. I now bring these skills into Learning Design.

I’ve led large-scale initiatives such as a Graduate Profile framework, creating a clear pathway for growth and bringing staff and stakeholders on board through coaching and collaboration. I’ve also built lighter prototypes to help people feel good about using digital tools in ways that supported their understanding.

Just as important as the design itself, I’ve facilitated learning experiences and workshops that made change feel less daunting and more doable. Along the way, I’ve mentored and coached new professionals and supported colleagues to nurture their confidence with new systems.

My experiences have inspired my pivot into Learning Design, where I can blend analysis, creativity, and facilitation to create learning that truly joins the dots.
